OIL PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ENGINE STAND

  2. REMOVE ENGINE HANGER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE VENTILATION HOSE ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT EGR PIPE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the EGR pipe assembly from the exhaust manifold converter sub-assembly.

  5. REMOVE EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

  6. REMOVE EGR INLET GASKET

    Click here

  7. REMOVE EGR PIPE GASKET

    Click here

  8. REMOVE PURGE VALVE (PURGE VSV)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    Click here

  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

    Click here

  11. REMOVE ENGINE WIRE

    Click here

  12. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

    Click here

  13. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 IGNITION COIL

    Click here

  15. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING CONTROL MOTOR WITH EDU ASSEMBLY

  16. REMOVE CAMSHAFT TIMING CONTROL MOTOR O-RING

  17. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

  18. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  19. REMOVE CYLINDER HEAD COVER GASKET

  20. REMOVE CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP OIL HOLE GASKET

  21. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

  22. REMOVE WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  23. REMOVE NO. 2 WATER INLET HOUSING GASKET

    Click here

  24. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

    Click here

  25. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

  26. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER ASSEMBLY

      *1 Seal Washer

      Remove the 23 bolts and seal washer from the timing chain cover assembly.

      *a Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the timing chain cover assembly by prying between the timing chain cover assembly and camshaft housing sub-assembly, cylinder head sub-assembly, oil pan sub-assembly and cylinder block sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the contact surfaces of the timing chain cover assembly, camshaft housing sub-assembly, cylinder head sub-assembly, oil pan sub-assembly and cylinder block sub-assembly.

      Remove the 3 O-rings from the oil pan sub-assembly.

      Using an 8 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 timing gear cover tight plug from the timing chain cover assembly.

  27. REMOVE TIMING CHAIN COVER OIL SEAL

      *a Protective Tape
      *b Wooden Block

      Using a wooden block and a screwdriver with its tip wrapped with protective tape, remove the timing chain cover oil seal from the timing chain cover assembly.

  28. REMOVE STUD BOLT


    1. A0047D2E02

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt A from the timing chain cover assembly.

    2. Remove the stud bolt B from the timing chain cover assembly.
