WATER PUMP REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

    Click here

  4. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  5. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

    Click here

  6. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for LHD)

    Click here

  7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL (for RHD)

    Click here

  8. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for LHD)

    Click here

  9. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH (for RHD)

    Click here

  10. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for LHD)

  11. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE (for RHD)

    Click here

  12. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for LHD)

    Click here

  13. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL (for RHD)

  14. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER CENTER BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  15. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

  16. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE

  17. REMOVE AIR CLEANER FILTER ELEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  18. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  19. REMOVE AIR CLEANER BRACKET

    Click here

  20. REMOVE BATTERY

    Click here

  21. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

    Click here

  22. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

    Click here

  23. INSTALL ENGINE HANGER

    Click here

  24. INSTALL ENGINE SUPPORT BRIDGE

  25. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. B0047AV

      Remove the 2 bolts and engine mounting stay RH.

    2. Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts and engine mounting insulator sub-assembly RH.

  26. REMOVE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT

  27. REMOVE SUPERCHARGER ASSEMBLY

    Click here

  28. DISCONNECT WATER INLET HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the water inlet hose from the cylinder block sub-assembly.

  29. REMOVE SUPERCHARGER NOSE SUPPORT BRACKET

  30. REMOVE ENGINE WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 5 bolts and engine water pump assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tilt the engine to ensure sufficient space between it and the vehicle.

      Remove the water pump gasket.
