THROTTLE BODY REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

    Click here

  2. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK

    Click here

  3. REMOVE FRONT AIR SHUTTER SEAL RH


  4. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 VENTILATOR SEAL


  5. REMOVE INNER COWL TOP TO COWL BRACE


  6. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL


  7. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 2 ventilation hose from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly.

    2. Disengage the clamp to separate the No. 2 ventilation hose from the engine wire.

  8. SEPARATE NO. 2 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

    1. Separate the No. 2 vacuum switching valve assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.

  9. DISCONNECT NO. 1 AIR HOSE (for CVT)

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 air hose from the air cleaner hose assembly.

  10. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY

      Disengage the clamp to disconnect the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose assembly from the air cleaner hose assembly.

    2. Loosen the hose clamp and disconnect the air cleaner hose assembly from the air cleaner cap sub-assembly.

    3. Lock the hose clip and remove the air cleaner hose assembly from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  11. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  12. DISCONNECT WATER BY-PASS HOSE

      Slide the hose clip and disconnect the water by-pass hose from the throttle body with motor assembly.

  13. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the throttle body with motor assembly connector.

    2. B00462V

      Remove the 3 bolts and throttle body with motor assembly from the intake manifold.

      Note

      If the throttle body with motor assembly has been struck or dropped, replace it.

  14. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY GASKET

      Remove the throttle body gasket from the intake manifold.
