VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM(for TMC Made) Brake Warning Light does not Come ON

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

  • When replacing the skid control ECU, perform zero point calibration Click here.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output Click here.

  2. CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT


    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Check that the brake warning light comes on.

    4. Reconnect the skid control ECU connector.

  3. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (BRAKE WARNING LIGHT)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the tester on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.

    6. According to the display on the tester, read the Data List.

    7. When performing the Brake Warning Light Active Test, check Brake Warning Light in the Data List.
