  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

  1. INSTALL REAR DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME LH

  2. INSTALL REAR DOOR FRONT WINDOW GUIDE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  3. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  4. INSTALL REAR DOOR UPPER WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH


    1. Install the rear door upper window frame moulding LH with 2 new clips.

  5. INSTALL REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH

  6. INSTALL REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  7. INSTALL REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING INSERT LH


    1. Using an air riveter or hand riveter with a nose piece, install the rear door outside moulding insert LH with 2 new rivets.

      Tech Tips

      If the mandrel of the rivet does not come off on the first operation of the rivet gun, slide the rivet gun forward on the mandrel and operate it again.

        Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

        Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the moulding.

      • Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the moulding.

      • Do not leave any space between the rivet head and moulding.

        Do not leave any space between the moulding and door frame. Firmly hold the 2 items together while installing the rivet.

  8. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH(REAR PILLAR SIDE)

    Tech Tips

    When installing the rear door window frame moulding LH (rear pillar side), heat the vehicle body and rear door window frame moulding LH (rear pillar side) using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Rear Door Window Frame Moulding LH (Rear Pillar Side) 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    1. Clean the vehicle body surface.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new rear door window frame moulding LH (rear pillar side).

    3. Remove the protective tape.

  9. INSTALL REAR DOOR FRONT GLASS RUN LH

      Install the rear door front glass run LH.

  10. INSTALL REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH(CENTER PILLAR SIDE)

      B004T3S Install in this Direction (2)

      Attach the guide and clip to install the rear door window frame moulding LH (center pillar side) as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }
    3. Remove the protective tape.

  11. INSTALL REAR DOOR NO. 3 GLASS RUN LH

      Install the rear door No. 3 glass run LH.

  12. INSTALL REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Using an air riveter or hand riveter with a nose piece, install the rear door belt moulding sub-assembly LH with 5 new rivets.

      Tech Tips

      If the mandrel of the rivet does not come off on the first operation of the rivet gun, slide the rivet gun forward on the mandrel and operate it again.
