DESCRIPTION


The headlight ECU sub-assembly performs adaptive high beam system control based on forward recognition information from the object recognition camera*1 or forward recognition camera*2.

    Detection condition:

  • Power switch is on (IG) and automatic light control sensor recognizes that it is nighttime


    Malfunction status:

  • High temperature condition signals are received from object recognition camera*1 or forward recognition camera*2


    Malfunction duration:

  • -

  • Check vehicle usage environment (history of usage in a high temperature environment)

  • Object recognition camera*1

  • Forward recognition camera*2

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • When replacing the object recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a object recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the object recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the object recognition camera has been replaced or removed and installed, be sure to perform adjustment of the object recognition camera.

Tech Tips

DTC B2437 is only stored when it has been determined that it is dark based on the automatic light control sensor.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    2. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Check for DTCs.

      DTC B2437 is not output.

  2. CHECK FOR OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA


    1. Move the vehicle to a cool place and ensure that the object recognition camera is within the normal operating temperature.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    3. Cover the automatic light control sensor.

    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    5. Check for DTCs.
