DESCRIPTION

The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH stores this DTC if the value from the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH is out of range when performing initialization of the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH, such as when the vehicle is not level or jacked up.

  • If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

  1. INITIALIZATION HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Perform initialization of the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Body Electrical > AFS > Clear DTCs

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Check for DTCs.

      DTC B2452 is not output.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)


    1. Disconnect the A31 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the L179 rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A31-16 (SBR) - L179-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω
      A31-17 (SHRL) - L179-2 (SHRL) Always Below 1 Ω
      A31-15 (SGR) - L179-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω
      A31-16 (SBR) or L179-3 (SHB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A31-17 (SHRL) or L179-2 (SHRL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A31-15 (SGR) or L179-1 (SHG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
