PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L59 seat belt control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L59-12 (PGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L59-1 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

      REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  2. Click here

    CLEAR DTCs


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Seat Belt Control / Clear DTCs.


      1. Body Electrical > Seat Belt Control > Clear DTCs


    5. Check for DTCs by following the prompts on the GTS screen.

  3. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Seat Belt Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs and note any DTCs that are output.


      1. Body Electrical > Seat Belt Control > Trouble Codes

      DTC is not output
