The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the front seat outer belt assembly removal/installation are shown below.

    CAUTION:

    Some of these service operations affect the SRS airbag system. Read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing.

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT HOLE COVER LH

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (SEAT ANCHOR)

      B004RMI Remove in this Direction

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the hook and remove the seat anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH from the hole of the front seat cushion shield LH.

    Tech Tips

    Perform this procedure when replacing the front shoulder belt anchor plate sub-assembly LH.

      Remove the screw and rib.

    2. B004TY5

      Detach the guide and remove the front shoulder belt anchor plate sub-assembly LH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT GUIDE


    1. B004VSI

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the front seat shoulder belt guide.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the nut and shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

      Detach the 3 clamps and fold the floor carpet as shown in the illustration so that the clip of the No. 2 floor heater air duct LH can be removed.

    3. Remove the clip.

      Move the No. 2 floor heater air duct LH as shown in the illustration so that the bolts of the retractor can be removed.

      Note

      Move the No. 2 floor heater air duct LH gently and do not damage it.

    5. w/o Pre-collision Seat Belt:

        B004SZX Pretensioner Connector
        B004UK4 Tension Reducer Connector

        Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Disconnect the tension reducer connector.

        Remove the 2 bolts.

      4. Detach the guide and remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

    6. w/ Pre-collision Seat Belt:

        *a Locking Button
        B004VGX Protective Tape
        B004SZX Pretensioner Connector
        B004UK4 Motor Connector

        Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      2. Disconnect the motor connector.

        Loosen the bolt A and remove the bolt B.

      4. Detach the guide and remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT BELT RETRACTOR COVER LH

      B004RMI Remove in this Direction (1)
      B004T3S Remove in this Direction (2)

      Pull in the removal direction (1) shown in the illustration to detach the claw.

    2. Slide in the removal direction (2) shown in the illustration to detach the guide and remove the front seat belt retractor cover LH.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly.
