FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips

Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE

INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

Place the front seat assembly LH in the vehicle.
Note
- Placing the front seat assembly LH in the vehicle must be performed by multiple people.
- Protect the front seat legs.
- Do not damage the front seat assembly RH, body exterior or interior parts.
Tilt the front seat assembly LH rearward.

Do not damage the front seat assembly LH or the interior parts.

*A	w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System
	Front Seat Airbag Assembly LH Connector

Attach the wire harness protector clamp and connect the floor wire.

Connect the 2 connectors.
w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:
1. Connect the 2 connectors.
Connect the front seat airbag assembly LH connector.
1. Before connecting the connector of the front seat airbag assembly LH, check that the CPA is positioned as shown in the illustration.
  
  *a CPA - -
2. Holding the sides of the CPA of the front seat airbag assembly LH connector, connect the connector by engaging it until a "click" sound is heard.
  Note
  - Be careful not to damage the front seat airbag connector or wire harness.
  - When connecting the connector, push the connector straight in.
  - Do not connect the connector while holding components other than the CPA.
  - If the top of the CPA is held down when connecting the connector, the half connection prevention mechanism will not function due to deformation of the CPA. Therefore, hold the sides of the CPA.
Insert the location pin of the seat rail into the hole in the body.
Temporarily install the front seat assembly LH with the 4 "TORX" screws.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to slide the front seat assembly LH to the rearmost position.
*A for Driver Side

*B w/ Front Passenger Side Folding Headrest

Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque:

37 N*m { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }
Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to slide the rear seat assembly LH to the frontmost position.
Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, tighten the "TORX" screws in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque:

37 N*m { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

INSTALL REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER LH
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Slide from the installation direction shown in the illustration and insert the guides.
2. Attach the claw and install the rear inner seat track bracket cover LH.
INSTALL OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER RH
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Slide in the installation direction shown in the illustration and insert the guide.
2. Attach the claw and install the outer seat track cover RH.
INSTALL FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER
Tech Tips

Use the same procedure described for the inner side.
1. Operate the slide and vertical power seat switch knob to slide the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position.
2. Install in this Direction
  
  Slide in the installation direction shown in the illustration and insert the guide.
3. Attach the claw and install the front outer seat track bracket cover.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT LEG COVER (w/ Front Passenger Side Folding Headrest)
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Push in the installation direction shown in the illustration and insert the guide.
2. Attach the claw and install the front seat leg cover.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Insert the front seat outer belt assembly LH into the hole of the front seat cushion shield LH and attach the hook.
2. Install the front seat outer belt assembly LH with the bolt.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP LH
1. Insert the guide, attach the claw and install the seat belt anchor cover cap LH.

INSTALL FRONT SEAT BELT HOLE COVER LH

Install in this Direction

Slide in the installation direction shown in the illustration and insert the front seat outer belt assembly LH into the slit of the front seat belt hole cover LH.

	Install in this Direction (1)
	Install in this Direction (2)

Push in the installation direction (1) shown in the illustration and insert the guide.

Push in the installation direction (2) shown in the illustration, attach the claw and install the front seat belt hole cover LH.

INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SEATBACK BOARD COVER (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)
1. Install in this Direction
  
  Push from the installation direction shown in the illustration to attach the clip and install the front No. 2 seatback board.
INSTALL TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)

1. Install in this Direction
  
  Push from the installation direction shown in the illustration to attach the clip and install the front seatback board cover sub-assembly.
