DESCRIPTION

Output to the rear seat cushion heater temperature sensor stops if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

    1. Remove the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.

    2. Inspect the separate type rear seat cushion cover RH.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER RH)


    1. Disconnect the G63 and G64 air conditioning amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the T2 separate type rear seat cushion cover RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G64-23 (TFAR) - T2-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      G64-23 (TFAR) or T2-3 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G63-9 (SG-6) - T2-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      G63-9 (SG-6) or T2-4 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER)


    1. Disconnect the G63 and G64 air conditioning amplifier assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the R27 bench type rear seat cushion cover connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G64-23 (TFAR) - R27-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      G64-23 (TFAR) or R27-9 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G63-9 (SG-6) - R27-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      G63-9 (SG-6) or R27-3 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
