DESCRIPTION

Output to the rear seat cushion heater temperature sensor stops if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

  3. INSPECT SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER LH


    1. Remove the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH.

    2. Inspect the separate type rear seat cushion cover LH.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER LH)


    1. Disconnect the G63 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the T9 separate type rear seat cushion cover LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G63-19 (TFAL) - T9-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      G63-19 (TFAL) or T9-3 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G63-9 (SG-6) - T9-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      G63-9 (SG-6) or T9-4 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. INSPECT BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Remove the bench type rear seat cushion cover.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY - BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION COVER)


    1. Disconnect the G63 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R62 bench type rear seat cushion cover connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G63-19 (TFAL) - R62-9 Always Below 1 Ω
      G63-19 (TFAL) or R62-9 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G63-9 (SG-6) - R62-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      G63-9 (SG-6) or R62-3 - Other terminals and body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
