PROCEDURE

INSTALL ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH (HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY)

for LHD :
1. Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).
2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control assembly to the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).
3. Install the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) with the 3 bolts.
  
  8.0 N*m 82 kgf*cm 71 in.*lbf
4. Connect the connector.

for RHD :

Apply MP grease to the sliding parts of the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).
Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and hood lock control assembly to the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly).

Install the engine hood courtesy switch (hood lock assembly) with the 3 bolts.

Connect the connector.

INSTALL HOOD LOCK RELEASE LEVER PROTECTOR
1. Attach the clamp and temporary install the hood lock release lever protector.
2. Install the 2 clips.
