DESCRIPTION

The certification ECU intermittently monitors the LIN communication bus between the components related to certification. DTC B2785 is stored when a malfunction in the LIN communication bus between the components related to certification is detected 3 times consecutively.

Note


  • When using the GTS with the power switch off to troubleshoot:

    Connect the GTS to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  • Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) or steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly, refer to the entry and start system (for start function).

    1. Disconnect the G22 steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly connector.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU [SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY] - ID CODE BOX [IMMOBILISER CODE ECU] AND STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR OR UPPER BRACKET ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G71 certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    2. Disconnect the G58 ID code box (immobiliser code ECU) connector.

    3. Disconnect the G22 steering lock actuator or upper bracket assembly connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G71-13 (LIN) - G22-5 (LIN) Always Below 1 Ω
      G71-13 (LIN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
