FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note


  • Do not drop the front side radar sensor.

  • Do not drop the front side radar sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

Tech Tips


  • The front side radar beam axis inspection is performed to confirm whether the sensor is transmitting radio waves.

  • The front side radar beam axis confirmation is performed to confirm whether the sensor's beam axis is correct, and perform adjustment of the beam axis by using reflector.

  • The front side radar sensor installation condition inspection is performed to confirm whether the sensor is placed vertically to the ground (+/-4.5°) by using a jig, and that the sensor is 56 to 64° from the line parallel to the vehicle center line.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR BRACKET LH

    Use the same procedure described for the RH side.

      *a Guide

      Attach the guide to temporarily install the front side radar sensor bracket LH.

    2. Tighten the 3 bolts to install the front side radar sensor bracket LH in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  3. INSTALL FRONT SIDE RADAR SENSOR

    Use the same procedure described for the RH side.

      B004SZX Connector
      B004UK4 Nut

      Install the front side radar sensor with new 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

    2. Connect the connector.

      Note

      Do not drop the front side radar sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

    3. Attach the wire harness clamp.
