DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

    Both of the following conditions are met:

  • The blind spot monitor system is on


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator

  • outer mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH)

  • Outer mirror actuator assembly RH

  • Harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Front multiplex network door ECU RH

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.


      Body Electrical > Blind Spot Monitor Master > Trouble Codes
      OK
      No DTCs are output.
      Result

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH - BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L56 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the H12 front multiplex network door ECU RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L56-4 (OMIR) - H12-21 (BSMI) Always Below 1 Ω
      H12-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      Result
      Proceed to
      OK
      NG

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH

      Disconnect the front multiplex network door ECU RH connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      H12-21 (BSMI) - z37-8 (BSR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H12-1 (GND) - z37-12 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the z37 outer mirror actuator assembly RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the IND1 outer mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z37-8 (BSR+) - IND 1-2 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      z37-12 (-) - IND 1-1 (-) Always Below 1 Ω
