DESCRIPTION
DTC C1ABE is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor LH detects a short to ground or open in the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) circuit.

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor system is turned on.
Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
PROCEDURE
CHECK DTC
Turn the power switch off.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RCTA BUZZER [BLIND SPOT MONITOR BUZZER] - AUXILIARY BATTERY AND BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH)
Disconnect the L55 RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) connector.
Disconnect the L57 blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
CHECK RCTA BUZZER (BLIND SPOT MONITOR BUZZER)
Remove the RCTA buzzer (blind spot monitor buzzer) with a new or known good one.
Clear the DTCs.
Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
