DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored if the rear television camera assembly receives a signal via CAN communication from the steering sensor that indicates a power supply problem.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note:
  • When "!" mark is displayed on the multi-display after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • The parking assist monitor system uses the CAN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the parking assist monitor system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly.

  • The vehicle is equipped with a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) which includes components such as airbags. Before servicing (including removal or installation of parts), be sure to read the precaution for Supplemental Restraint System.

  • After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING SENSOR POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the steering sensor connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      G29-6 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
