DESCRIPTION

The rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor) is installed to the rear bumper. The clearance warning ECU assembly detects obstacles based on signals received from the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor). If the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

Note:

If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the power switch on (IG) and the parking support alert system on. Then clear the DTCs.

    1. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > IPA/ICS/Clearance Sonar > Trouble Codes


      Result

      DTC C1AE9 and C1AED are output B
      No DTCs are output C

  2. Click here

    REPLACE REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR (RR SENSOR)


    1. Replace the rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor) with a known good one.

      Tip:

      All of the sensors are interchangeable. To confirm whether a sensor is functioning normally, switch it with a known good sensor from the other end of the vehicle.
