DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in the communication between the telematics transceiver and the map light assembly (emergency call switch) as a result of the telematics transceiver self check, this DTC will be stored.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for G-BOOK.

PROCEDURE

    CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Clear DTCs


    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      1. Body Electrical > Navigation System > Trouble Codes

    INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. B004TX9E05

      Remove the map light assembly.

      Click here

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      31 (SIG1) - 32 (GND3) Emergency call switch not operated 410 to 414 Ω
      31 (SIG1) - 32 (GND3) Emergency call switch operated 81 to 83 Ω

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G56 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the N9 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G56-27 (SIG1) - N9-31 (SIG1) Always Below 1 Ω
      G56-26 (SIG-) - N9-32 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
      G56-27 (SIG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G56-26 (SIG-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
