ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C13AD

DTC Code DTC Name
C13AD Open in +B Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The parking brake ECU assembly is supplied with power to operate the motor via the +B terminals.

DTC No. Detection Item DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area Memory Note
C13AD Open in +B Circuit
  • Diagnosis Condition:

Electric parking brake switch assembly is operated to lock side with power switch off or power switch is turned on (IG)

  • Malfunction Status:

+B voltage is below 8.47 V (*) when parking brake motor is not operating or +B voltage is below 3.19 V (*) when parking brake motor is operating

  • Malfunction Duration:

    Not operating: Approximately 1 second

    Operating: Approximately 0.5 seconds

Tech Tips

*: This value is based on the assumption that the auxiliary battery voltage is 11 V.

The threshold changes according to the auxiliary battery voltage.

For details, refer to "Threshold Changes According to Auxiliary Battery Voltage".
