The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the rear pneumatic cylinder removal/installation are shown below.

Note
Be sure to read the "PRECAUTION" thoroughly before servicing.
In order to prevent the battery from becoming fully depleted, connect the battery charger to the auxiliary battery when turning the power switch on (IG) to charge the battery.
Keep the power supply connected to prevent the GTS battery from becoming fully depleted.

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH side.
The following procedure is for the LH side.

REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH
REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
REMOVE NO. 1 CENTER SPEAKER GRILLE SUB-ASSEMEBLY
REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER LH
REMOVE REAR WHEEL
REMOVE ROCKER PANEL MOULDING PROTECTOR LH
REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH
REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH
DISCONNECT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the nut and skid control sensor wire LH.
DISCONNECT NO.7 HEIGHT CONTROL TUBE
Disconnect the No. 7 height control tube from the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH.
REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH
REMOVE REAR PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH
Using SST, remove the nut B.
Tech Tips
If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.
Remove the 2 nuts A from the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH (upperside).
Tech Tips
If the nut is hard to see, use a mirror.
Remove the nut from the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH (lower side).

Remove the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH and washer as shown in the illustration.
When reusing the rear pneumatic cylinder with shock absorber assembly LH:
Remove the No. 2 connector, plate and 2 O-rings.
