DESCRIPTION

DTC B2250 is stored when there is a malfunction in the closer pulse sensor circuit of the luggage door closer assembly and when a normal waveform is not input for the closer pulse during power trunk lid operation.

Note


  • If a luggage closer motor assembly DTC is output, the luggage compartment door closer and power trunk lid stops operating.

  • If the replacement, removal and installation of the luggage closer motor assembly or disconnection of the connectors of the luggage closer motor assembly has been performed, initialize the power trunk lid system.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs.

    2. Check for DTCs.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY - LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L10 luggage closer motor assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L12 luggage door closer assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      L10-16 (CSG) - L12-4 (CPSE) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-17 (CS2) - L12-9 (CPS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-18 (CS1) - L12-2 (CPS1) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-19 (CSV) - L12-3 (CPS+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L10-16 (CSG) or L12-4 (CPSE) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L10-17 (CS2) or L12-9 (CPS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L10-18 (CS1) or L12-2 (CPS1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the L12 luggage door closer assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      L12-4 (CPSE) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      L12-2 (CPS1) - Body ground Power switch on (IG), power trunk lid not operate 7 V or higher
      L12-3 (CPS+) - Body ground Power switch on (IG), power trunk lid not operate 7 V or higher

  4. CHECK LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the L12 luggage door closer assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect terminals 8 (M+) and 1 (M-) from the luggage door closer assembly connector.

    3. Reconnect the L12 luggage door closer assembly connector.

    4. Using an oscilloscope, check the waveform.

      Do not operate any other functions until this inspection is finished.

      L12-2 (CSP1) - Body ground Apply battery voltage to the terminals removed from the connector and operate the luggage door closer assembly (closer motor) 2 V/DIV., 10 ms./DIV.

      L12-9 (CSP2) - Body ground Apply battery voltage to the terminals removed from the connector and operate the luggage door closer assembly (closer motor) 2 V/DIV., 10 ms./DIV.

    5. Disconnect the L12 luggage door closer assembly connector.

    6. Reconnect terminals 8 (M+) and 1 (M-) to the connector.
