FUEL MAIN VALVE REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during fuel main valve assembly removal/installation are shown below.

CAUTION:

    Never perform work on fuel system components near any possible ignition sources.

  • Vaporized fuel could ignite, resulting in a serious accident.


  • B004U4I

    Do not perform work on fuel system components without first disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

  • Sparks could cause vaporized fuel to ignite, resulting in a serious accident.

Note

Do not try to remove the black nylon tube as it is welded to the fuel suction tube with pump and gauge assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP FILTER

  4. REMOVE FUEL MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the fuel main valve assembly (for Low Pressure).

        Remove the clip from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

        Note

        Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

      2. B004U1N

        Remove the fuel main valve assembly (for Low Pressure) from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

        Note

        Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

        *1 O-Ring

        Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel main valve assembly (for Low Pressure).

    2. Remove the fuel main valve assembly (for High Pressure).

        Remove the clip from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

        Note

        Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

      2. B004UOG

        Remove the fuel main valve assembly (for High Pressure) from the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

        Do not damage the fuel suction plate sub-assembly (fuel filter).

        Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel main valve assembly (for High Pressure).
