TRANSMISSION WIRE INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

   INSTALL TRANSMISSION WIRE

   
   

   1. Coat a new O-ring with transmission fluid and install it to the transmission wire.

   2. Pass the transmission wire through the installation mouth of the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly.

   3. 

      *a	Torque Wrench Fulcrum Length
      *b	10 mm Union Nut Wrench
      	Turn

      Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, install the bolt.

      Specified tightening torque
      5.4 N*m	55 kgf*cm	48 in.*lbf

      Tip:
      

      • Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench.

      • When using a union nut wrench (fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.8661 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 185 mm (7.2835 in.)): 4.8 N*m (49 kgf*cm, 42 in.*lbf)

   4. 

      Push Up

      Connect the transmission wire connector.

      Tip:

      Push up the lever until the claw of the transmission wire connector makes a connection sound.

   5. 

      Connect the 7 connectors to the transmission valve body assembly.

   6. Attach the wire harness clamp.

   7. Coat a new O-ring with transmission fluid and install it to the temperature sensor.

   8. 

      *1	Temperature Sensor
      *2	Lock Plate

      Connect the temperature sensor to the transmission valve body assembly with the bolt and lock plate.

      10 N*m

   INSTALL OIL STRAINER ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Coat a new O-ring with transmission fluid and install it to the oil strainer assembly.

   2. Install the oil strainer assembly to the transmission valve body assembly with the 3 bolts.

      10 N*m

      102 kgf*cm

      7 ft.*lbf

      Note:
      

      • When installing the oil strainer assembly, do not allow the wire harness to get caught between the parts.

      • When installing the oil strainer assembly, make sure that the O-ring is not twisted.

      • Do not allow the O-ring to get jammed between the parts.

      • Do not install the oil strainer assembly with the plate folded.

      •

        After installing the oil strainer assembly, check the plate can be moved to the position shown in the illustration.

   INSTALL TRANSMISSION OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   
   1. 

      *1	Oil Cleaner Magnet

      Install the 4 oil cleaner magnets to the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

   2. 

      *a	Correct
      *b	Incorrect
      *c	Protrusion
      *d	Sleeve

      Install a new transmission oil pan gasket to the transmission oil pan sub-assembly.

      Note:
      

      • Make sure that there is no oil or foreign matter on the transmission oil pan gasket seal surface or transmission oil pan sub-assembly contact surface.

      • Install the transmission oil pan gasket so that there is no slack in the transmission oil pan gasket, and that the entire circumference of the seal surface is level.

      • Make sure that the 8 gasket drop prevention protrusions are set on the transmission oil pan sub-assembly

      • When tightening the transmission oil pan sub-assembly, make sure that the transmission oil pan gasket is not pinched between the transmission oil pan gasket tightening area sleeve and the transmission seal surface.

   3. Install the transmission oil pan sub-assembly to the hybrid vehicle transmission assembly with the 8 bolts.

      7.5 N*m
