VEHICLE PROXIMITY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM Even when Engine is Started or Transmission Shift Main Switch (P Position Switch) is Pushed, Sound does not Stop

DESCRIPTION

The vehicle approaching speaker controller receives "permission signals*" from hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly, and produces the warning sound from the vehicle approaching speaker assembly.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (Permission Signal)


    1. Turn the power switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Vehicle Proximity Notification System / Data List.

    6. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (VEHICLE APPROACHING SPEAKER CONTROLLER - HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the X51 vehicle approaching speaker controller connector.

    2. Disconnect the P64 hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      X51-11 (KOK) - P64-8 (KOK) Always Below 1 Ω
