POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM Reverse Shift-linked Function of Power Mirrors does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly sends the reverse signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via CAN communication. When receiving the reverse signal, the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the reverse request signal to each front multiplex network door ECU. Based on the signal, each front multiplex network door ECU then performs control.

Note


  • The power mirror control system uses the CAN communication system and LIN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system and LIN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure.

Tech Tips

The reverse shift-linked function will not activate when both the mirror select switch L and R switch are off.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MEMORY AND REACTIVATION FUNCTION


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Using the multiplex network master switch assembly, turn the mirror surface to the fully left position.

    3. Press the M1 switch while the SET switch is being pressed.

    4. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.5 seconds and the mirror surface position is memorized.

    5. Using the multiplex network master switch assembly, turn the mirror surface to the fully right position.

    6. Press the M1 switch.

    7. Check that the buzzer sounds for 0.1 seconds and the outer mirror automatically moves to the memorized fully left position.

  2. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRIC SHIFT LEVER SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / DTC.

    5. Check if electronic shift lever system DTCs are output.


      Powertrain > Hybrid Control > Trouble Codes
      OK
      Electronic shift lever system DTCs are not output.

  3. CHECK COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Check if the shift position indicator light in the combination meter assembly operates normally.

  4. CHECK REVERSE SHIFT-LINKED FUNCTION


    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Turn the mirror select switch R or L switch on.

    3. Check that the mirror surface turns downward when the shift lever is moved to R.

  5. READ VALUE USING GTS (MIRROR SELECTION SW (L), MIRROR SELECTION SW (R))


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Master Switch / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
