The necessary procedures (adjustment, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the quarter window glass assembly removal/installation are shown below.

    Note

    The quarter window assembly LH may fall while performing this procedure. Therefore, use suction cups to hold the quarter window assembly LH from the outside of the vehicle.

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. B004B97C01
      B004CG0 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the area around the installation position of the quarter window assembly LH on the vehicle body to prevent it from being scratched.

    3. Install the suction cups to the quarter window assembly LH.

      *a Piano Wire
      *b Clip

      Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and quarter window assembly LH from the interior.

    5. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    6. Cut off the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the quarter window assembly LH.

      Note

      When separating the quarter window assembly LH, be careful not to damage the paint or interior and exterior ornaments.

      Using suction cups, disconnect the clip and remove the quarter window assembly LH.

      Note


      • Do not to drop the quarter window assembly LH.

      • Be sure to replace the quarter window assembly LH with a new one.
