CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed or replaced during the ion generator sub-assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD

  3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:


    • B004A52

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    • If the airbag deploys for any reason, it may cause a serious accident.

      B004B1M Pull out direction

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Slide in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration and pull out the ion generator with air duct sub-assembly.

      Disconnect the connector.

    4. B004BNUC01
      B004B1M Pull Directly Up

      Detach the claw and remove the air duct sub-assembly from the ion generator sub-assembly.
