CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM Cruise Main Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The hybrid vehicle control ECU assembly illuminates the cruise control indicator by sending indicator output demand signals to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. The cruise control indicator illuminates when the cruise control system is turned on using the cruise control main switch. If a malfunction is detected, the cruise control indicator turns off and a warning message is displayed. The cruise control indicator circuit uses CAN communication. If the cruise control indicator is not functioning correctly, check for CAN communication DTCs before troubleshooting this circuit.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

When replacing the combination meter assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a combination meter assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in it will not match the information from the vehicle and a DTC may be stored.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (METER DISPLAY 1)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Combination Meter > Active Test

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (CRUISE INDICATOR)


    1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Cruise Control / Data List.

    2. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.
