ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the accelerator pedal sensor removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE MAIN BODY ECU (for RHD)

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  3. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the accelerator pedal pad.

    2. B004BMB

      Remove the 2 bolts and accelerator pedal.

  4. REMOVE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    Note


    • Avoid excessive force to the accelerator pedal sensor.

    • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • This accelerator pedal does not require lubrication.

      Do not apply oil or lubricant to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

      If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.

      for RHD:

      Remove the stop light switch assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts and accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

      Note


      • Do not drop the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, strike it with tools or subject it to impact.

      • If the accelerator pedal sensor assembly is subjected to an impact, replace it with a new one.
