DESCRIPTION

The pedestrian detection ECU assembly receives signals from the skid control ECU assembly via CAN communication.

These DTCs are stored when a malfunction is detected in the signal sent from the brake actuator assembly.

Note


  • After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK WARNING LIGHT (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM)


    1. When approximately 3 seconds have elapsed after turning the engine switch on (IG), check that the ABS warning and slip indicator lights turn off.

  2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check for DTCs.

  3. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

    3. Clear the DTCs stored in memory.

    4. Turn the engine switch off.

    5. Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait for at least 60 seconds.

    6. Check for DTCs.
