DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the certification ECU cannot be customized via the navigation system vehicle customization screen.

The certification ECU controls the entry and start system (for Entry Function) related items that are customizable via the multi-display screen.

Note


  • The following malfunctions may occur if a radio receiver assembly from another vehicle is installed to this vehicle. Therefore, when replacing the radio receiver assembly, be sure to replace it with new one.


    • Communication malfunction DTC is output

    • Does not operate normally

  • Before replacing the certification ECU, refer to the Service Bulletin.

Tech Tips

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Navigation System.

    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

    1. Check if the entry and start system (for Entry Function) is malfunctioning.

  3. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS


    1. Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

    2. Make a note of the customizable items for each certification ECU related system.

      These items shown as customizable via the navigation system vehicle customization screen can also be changed manually. In a following step, a manual procedure will be used.


      1. Check the customize parameters list for the entry and start system (for Entry Function) related items that can be customized via the multi-display screen.

    3. Manually change and confirm that it was possible to successfully change the settings of the customize parameters for each system that are available for customization via the multi-display screen.
