Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Engine switch is on (IG).

  2. After parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, when engine switch is first turned on (IG), system cannot communicate with ECM for approximately 4 seconds.

  • ECM

  • CAN communication system

  • Parking brake ECU assembly

 Yes An electric parking brake system malfunction is displayed on the multi-information display.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

Note

If the parking brake ECU assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "Acquire Tension Sensor Zero Point" procedures.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Turn the engine switch off.

    2. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the engine switch on (IG) and the GTS on.

    4. Check for DTC.

      Chassis > Electric Parking Brake > Trouble Codes

      DTC C13AE/72 and a CAN communication malfunction DTC are output at the same time A
