ACCELERATOR PEDAL INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY

    Note


    • Avoid physical shock to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • Do not disassemble the accelerator pedal sensor assembly.

    • The accelerator pedal sensor assembly does not require lubrication.

    • Do not apply oil or other lubricants to the accelerator pedal sensor assembly. If applied, the accelerator pedal sensor assembly must be replaced.


    1. for LHD:


      1. Install the accelerator pedal sensor assembly with the 3 nuts.

        Torque:
        7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

        Note


        • Do not drop the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, strike it with tools or subject it to impact.

        • If the accelerator pedal sensor assembly is subjected to an impact, replace it with a new one.

      2. Connect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

    2. for RHD:


      1. B000UONN03

        Connect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.

      2. Install the accelerator pedal sensor assembly with the nut A and nut B.

        Torque:
        7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

        Note


        • Do not drop the accelerator pedal sensor assembly, strike it with tools or subject it to impact.

        • If the accelerator pedal sensor assembly is subjected to an impact, replace it with a new one.

      3. Install the nut C.

        Torque:
        7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

        Tech Tips

        Depress and hold the foot brake using brake pedal pressure to ensure enough installation space for nut C.

      4. Install the stop light switch assembly.

  2. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  3. INSTALL MAIN BODY ECU (for RHD)

  4. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL


    1. Install the accelerator pedal with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL ACCELERATOR PEDAL PAD


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the accelerator pedal pad.
