DESCRIPTION
The combination meter assembly blinks or turns off the seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly in accordance with the state of the front seat inner belt assembly (driver seat).

Note
The seat belt warning system (w/o occupant classification system) uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure.
Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.*

The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before performing this troubleshooting procedure, make sure to perform an on-vehicle inspection to confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*

Tech Tips
The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver seat and front passenger seat*. Check that the operation of the seat belt warning light is normal first.
If the seat belt warning light does not operate for both the driver seat and front passenger seat, replace the combination meter assembly.

PROCEDURE
READ VALUE USING GTS (D SEAT BUCKLE SW)
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.
Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.

Remove the front seat inner belt assembly (driver seat).
Inspect the front seat inner belt assembly (driver seat).

INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY
Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).
