DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) controls the operation of the following lights:

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.*1

  • The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before performing this troubleshooting procedure, make sure to perform an on-vehicle inspection to confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*2

Tech Tips

The DOME CUT relay supplies power to the interior lights. If all the lights that use power from the DOME CUT relay do not turn on, check the interior light auto cut circuit first.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Active Test

      Illuminated Entry System Turns on the lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system* OFF or ON Perform the Active Test with the door linked switch of the map light (roof console box sub-assembly) on and switches of the spot light assembly LH and RH off.

      • *: Refer to System Description for the lights that are controlled by the illuminated entry system.

    1. Remove the map light (roof console box sub-assembly).

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT (ROOF CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY) - SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT (ROOF CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

    2. Connect the V13*1 or V14*2 map light (roof console box sub-assembly) connector.


      • *1: for Normal Roof

      • *2: for Panoramic Moon Roof

    3. Apply battery voltage to the connector and check that the map light comes on.
