LIGHTING SYSTEM ACC Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects the ignition switch ACC or off condition, and sends it to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.

  • First, check for smart entry and start system (for Start Function) DTCs, and after confirming that there is no malfunction, proceed with troubleshooting.*1

  • Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), refer to Service Bulletin.*1

  • The vehicle battery supplies power to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) via the door control battery. Therefore, before performing this troubleshooting procedure, make sure to perform an on-vehicle inspection to confirm that the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) power source circuit is normal.*2

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > Main Body > Data List

      OFF: Ignition switch off

      ON: Ignition switch ACC

      "ON" is also displayed for this item when the ignition switch is ON.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the 3F*1 or 3G*2 and 3B instrument panel junction block assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the K51 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      3F-1 - Body ground*1 Always 11 to 14 V
      3G-1 - Body ground*2 Always 11 to 14 V

      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    2. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the instrument panel junction block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      3F-1 - MB-30 (ACC) Battery not connected to 3A-30 and 3B-3 10 kΩ or higher
      3F-1 - MB-30 (ACC)

      Battery positive (+) → 3A-30

      Battery negative (-) → 3B-3
