DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when items controlled by the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) cannot be customized via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen.

The certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) controls the entry and start system (for Entry Function) related items that are customizable via the multi-display assembly screen.

  • Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for Audio and Visual System.

    • A communication malfunction DTC may be stored.

    • The radio receiver assembly may not operate normally.

  • When replacing the radio receiver assembly, always replace it with a new one. If a radio receiver assembly which was installed to another vehicle is used, the following may occur:

  • Before replacing the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), refer to Service Bulletin

  1. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Use the GTS to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

  2. CHECK ENTRY AND START SYSTEM (for Entry Function)

  3. CHECK CUSTOMIZE ITEMS


    1. Display the "Vehicle Customization" screen.

    2. Make a note of the customizable items for each certification ECU related system.

      Tech Tips

      The items shown as customizable via the audio and visual system vehicle customization screen can also be changed using the GTS. In the following step, the GTS will be used.


      1. To match-up the items on the multi-display assembly with the items on the GTS, check the customize parameters list for the entry and start system (for Entry Function) related items that can be customized via the multi-display assembly screen.

    3. Using the GTS, check that it is possible to change the settings of the customize parameters that are available for customization via the multi-display assembly screen.
