FRONT SPEED SENSOR INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY

   Tech Tips

   
   

   • If the front speed sensor rotor needs to be replaced, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.

   • The front speed sensor is a component of the front axle hub sub-assembly. If the front speed sensor is malfunctioning, replace the front axle hub sub-assembly.

2. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB BEARING LOOSENESS

3. INSPECT FRONT AXLE HUB RUNOUT

4. INSTALL FRONT DISC

   Click here

5. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

   Click here

6. INSTALL FRONT SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE

   
   

   1. Connect the connector to install the front skid control sensor wire.

   2. Install the bolt.

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

   3. Return the front fender liner to its original position.

   4. Engage the clamp to the front No. 1 stabilizer bracket.

   5. Install the 2 sensor clamps to the front shock absorber assembly and vehicle body with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:

      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the front skid control sensor wire when installing it.

   6. Connect the connector to the front axle hub sub-assembly.

7. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER

   
   

   1. Install the front fender liner with the screw.

8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

10. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

11. CHECK FOR SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
