REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

PROCEDURE

1. PRECAUTION

   Note

   After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work.

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

   Click here

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

   CAUTION:

   Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

   Note

   When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION LOCK HOOK

   Click here

7. DISCONNECT REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. 

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 3 clips to disconnect the belt guide unit of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

   2. 

      Remove the bolt and disconnect the floor anchor of the rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

8. REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

9. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)

   
   

   1. Remove the rear seat headrest assembly.

10. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for LH Side)

11. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

12. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side)

13. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER

14. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

15. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY

16. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH ASSEMBLY

17. REMOVE REAR SEAT 3 POINT TYPE OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. for LH Side:

       
       
       1. 

          *a	Protective Tape
          *b	Locking Button
          *c	Release

          Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

          Tech Tips

          Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. for RH Side:

          Using a screwdriver, pull out the locking button as shown in the illustration to release the lock and disconnect the pretensioner connector.

          Tech Tips

          Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. 

       Remove the 2 bolts.

    4. Disengage the guide to remove rear seat 3 point type outer belt assembly.

18. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ANCHOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY

    
    

    1. 

       Remove the bolt.

    2. Disengage the guide to remove the rear seat outer belt anchor bracket assembly.
