POP UP HOOD LIFTER INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  • The following procedure is for the LH side.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSTALL POP UP HOOD LIFTER ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the power switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    3. Before connecting the connector, check that the position of the white housing lock is as shown in the illustration.

    4. Connect the connector to the pop up hood lifter assembly.

      Note

      When connecting any connector, take care not to damage the wire harness.

      *a Matchmark

      Insert the hook to temporarily install the pop up hood lifter assembly.

    6. Align the pop up hood lifter assembly with the matchmark and install it with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      11 N*m  { 112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL INVERTER WITH CONVERTER ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

  5. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  6. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK
