SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM(w/ Occupant Classification System) Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate

DESCRIPTION

The seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly illuminates, blinks or turns off in accordance with the state of the front seat inner belt assembly LH.

Note

The seat belt warning system (w/ Occupant Classification System) uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there are no malfunctions in the CAN communication system. Refer to How to Proceed with Troubleshooting.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG SYSTEM)


    1. Clear the DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Clear DTCs

    2. Check for DTCs.

      Click here


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Trouble Codes

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Data List.

    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS.


      Body Electrical > SRS Airbag > Data List

      Unset: Seat belt not fastened

      Set: Seat belt fastened
