INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER HOSE


    1. A01VXNTC01
      *1 No. 4 Ventilation Hose
      *2 No. 2 Air Cleaner Hose

      Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 4 ventilation hose from the No. 2 air cleaner hose.

    2. Loosen the 2 hose clamps and remove the No. 2 air cleaner hose from the inlet compressor elbow and intake air connector.

  3. REMOVE INLET COMPRESSOR ELBOW

      Disconnect the intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) connector and wire harness clamp.

    2. A01VVKS

      Remove the 2 nuts.

    3. A01VV3A

      Using an E8 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the stud bolt and inlet compressor elbow from the turbocharger sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the inlet compressor gasket from the turbocharger sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE (AIR BY-PASS VALVE ASSEMBLY)

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 bolts and intake air control valve (air by-pass valve assembly) from the turbocharger sub-assembly.

      Note

      Do not drop or subject any component of the turbocharger sub-assembly to impact. If any component of the turbocharger sub-assembly is dropped or subjected to a strong impact, replace it with a new one.
