The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed and installed, or replaced during rear shock absorber assembly removal/installation are shown below.

PROCEDURE


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER

    Click here

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE LH (w/ AVS)

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    2. Remove the bolt, 4 nuts and rear No. 2 skid control sensor wire LH.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE RH (w/ AVS)

      Disconnect the 3 connectors and disengage the 3 clamps.

    2. Remove the bolt, 4 nuts and rear No. 2 skid control sensor wire RH.

  5. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY (w/o AVS)

      Using a jack and wooden block, support the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.

      Note


      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

      • Keep supporting the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with a jack until the installation of the rear shock absorber assembly has been completed.

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and the rear shock absorber assembly from the vehicle.

  6. REMOVE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY (w/ AVS)

      Using a jack and wooden block, support the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly.

      Note


      • When jacking up the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly, be sure to jack it up slowly.

      • Make sure to perform this operation with the vehicle kept as low as possible.

      • Keep supporting the rear No. 2 suspension arm assembly with a jack until the installation of the rear shock absorber assembly has been completed.

      Remove the 2 bolts, nut and the rear shock absorber assembly from the vehicle.
