AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM(for 8 Inch Display) Steering Pad Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends operation signals from the steering pad switch assembly to the radio receiver assembly.

If there is an open in the circuit, the audio and visual system cannot be operated using the steering pad switch assembly.

If there is a short in the circuit, the same condition as when a switch is continuously depressed occurs.

Therefore, the radio receiver assembly cannot be operated using the steering pad switch assembly, also the radio receiver assembly itself will not function.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (STEERING PAD SWITCH SIGNAL)


    1. Disconnect the K57 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      K57-30 (SW1) - K57-32 (SWG) No switch pushed 99 to 101 kΩ
      Seek+ switch pushed Below 2.5 Ω
      Seek- switch pushed 326.7 to 333.3 Ω
      Volume+ switch pushed 998.9 to 1020.1 Ω
      Volume- switch pushed 3176.9 to 3242.1 Ω
      K57-31 (SW2) - K57-32 (SWG) No switch pushed 99 to 101 kΩ
      MODE switch pushed Below 2.5 Ω
      On hook switch pushed 326.7 to 333.3 Ω
      Off hook switch pushed 998.9 to 1020.1 Ω
      Voice switch pushed 3176.9 to 3242.1 Ω

  2. INSPECT STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the steering pad switch assembly.
