PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK MICROPHONE (OPERATION CHECK)

      Enter the "Microphone Check" screen. Refer to Check Microphone in Operation Check.

      Click here

    2. When a voice is input into the microphone, check that the microphone input level meter changes according to the input voice.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the F125 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the R2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      F125-6 (SNS2) - R2-1 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      F125-4 (MACC) - R2-9 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      F125-5 (MIN+) - R2-8 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      F125-19 (MIN-) - R2-7 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      F125-6 (SNS2) or R2-1 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F125-4 (MACC) or R2-9 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F125-5 (MIN+) or R2-8 (MOC+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F125-19 (MIN-) or R2-7 (MCO-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      F125-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the F125 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the R2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Remove the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly).

  5. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Reconnect the F125 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the R2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Turn the power switch to ACC.

      Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 8 (MCO+) and 7 (MCO-) of the R2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    5. Check the waveform of the map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) using the oscilloscope.
