BRAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL

PROCEDURE


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the engine switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. SEPARATE SUCTION PIPE CLAMP

      Disengage the suction pipe clamp to separate it from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

  4. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET

      Disengage the clamp from the brake actuator bracket assembly.

    2. B001NQU

      Pull down the lock lever of the connector toward the rear of the vehicle to release the lock.

      B001OAO Disconnect the connector
    3. Disconnect the connector from the brake actuator assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to allow any brake fluid to enter the connector.

      Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator assembly.

    5. Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect the lines.

    6. B001NOI

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket from the vehicle body.

      Note

      Do not damage the brake lines, suction pipe sub-assembly or wire harness.

  5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
