    1. Measure the battery voltage.

      Standard Voltage
      11 to 14 V (Engine switch off)

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding to the next step.

      Tech Tips


      • Whether the vehicle battery is discharged can be checked simply by operating the horn.

      • After recharging the battery, using the GTS, initialize the integrated current item*.

      *: If the Data List item "Integrated Current" indicates 0 or more, initialization is not necessary.

    2. Check the fuses and relays.

    3. Check the connector connections and terminals to make sure that there are no abnormalities such as loose connections, deformation, etc.

  9. CONFIRMATION TEST*


    1. Warm up the engine.

    2. Turn the air conditioning system off.

    3. Drive the vehicle for 5 to 40 minutes.

      CAUTION:

      When performing Confirmation Driving Pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.

    4. Stop the vehicle and confirm that the engine is stopped by stop and start control when all of the following conditions are met:


      • Steering wheel centered

      • Shift lever in D

      • Brake pedal depressed

      • Stop and start indicator light illuminated

      Tech Tips

      If the engine is not stopped by stop and start control, air fuel ratio learning and idle speed learning are necessary. Allow the engine to idle for 3 minutes and check that the engine idle speed is within 50 rpm of the target idle speed.

    5. Move the shift lever to P or N and confirm that the engine starts.
