DESCRIPTION

When the forward recognition camera is replaced with a new one, it stores the country specification information received from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). If the forward recognition camera cannot store the country specification information, DTC C1AAA is stored.

Note


  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to Service Bulletin.

  • When replacing the forward recognition camera, always replace it with a new one. If a forward recognition camera which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the forward recognition camera will not match the information from the vehicle. As a result, a DTC may be stored.

  • If the forward recognition camera has been replaced with a new one, be sure to perform Recognition Camera/Target Position Memory and Recognition Camera Axis Adjust Click here.

Tech Tips

This DTC is stored when the forward recognition camera cannot store the country specification information received from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). If the forward recognition camera or main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) has been replaced, check if a forward recognition camera or main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from another vehicle was used.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION DTC OUTPUT)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Road Sign Assist / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs Click here.

      Result

      DTC U0142 is not output B

    6. Turn the engine switch off.

    GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM Click here

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ROAD SIGN ASSIST SYSTEM)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Wait for approximately 1 minute.

    4. Turn the GTS on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Road Sign Assist / Trouble Codes.

    6. Check for DTCs Click here.

    7. Turn the engine switch off.

    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Road Sign Assist / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    6. Make sure that the DTC detection conditions are met.

      Tech Tips

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.


      1. Wait for approximately 1 minute.
